Following the highly successful 2012 event, the organizers of the Hillhead Quarry Exhibition – the biennial international showcase for the quarrying, recycling and heavy construction industries – are pleased to announce that Hillhead 2014 will take place at Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry, Buxton, England, from 24–26 June 2014.

It is always a great pleasure to attend Hillhead as it gives all of us at Resale Weekly a chance to meet our friend and customers, whilst putting faces to names that we have been dealing with for many years. WITH 400 confirmed exhibitors and very little space remaining in either the enlarged outdoor area or the two pavilions, the organizers of Hillhead 2012 have managed secure the components to provide for a 10m x 16m extension to the Registration Pavilion in order to create another 12 shell-scheme stands.
Commercial director Richard Bradbury explained that due to the demand for temporary structures caused by preparations for the 2012 London Olympic Games, large marquees are currently in very short supply.
‘Fortunately, our contractors have managed to find all the bits and pieces to extend the exhibition area at Registration for the many companies who still wish to be at the show,’ he said.
The three-day event at Hillhead Quarry, near Buxton, opens on Tuesday 19 June and visitors to the show are advised to register in advance for a fast-track entry badge.
Hillhead has opened its doors to visitors. With a record number of exhibitors, a healthy number of pre-registered visitors and fantastic weather, this year’s exhibition is showing all the signs of another successful show; something everyone welcomes after the difficult last few months.
With more companies than ever before presenting their latest plant, equipment, materials and services, Hillhead 2010 should prove to be successful for both visitors and exhibitors.

With only months to go before Hillhead 2010 opens its gates to visitors, the show is now filling up quickly. To date almost 90% of the stand space has already been booked by some 300 companies, including most of the major suppliers to the extractive and heavy construction industries. Event Director, Jack Berridge, noted that ‘Since the return to work from the summer break a steady stream of bookings has been received from new exhibitors and, despite some understandable scaling back in some areas, the continuing enthusiasm and support for the event is very encouraging. Also, with some new product launches and major re-branding exercises taking place next year, we are again looking forward to a good show ‘
