The bauma Forum at bauma 2010, the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, is covering an even more extensive and broad-ranging spectrum of themes than at the last event in 2007. According to Exhibition Manager Georg Moller, during the preparations for the forthcoming edition of bauma, exhibitors from other sections also proposed interesting themes, and these are now being included in an expanded programme. The first time the bauma Forum was held in 2007, around 60 speakers delivered lectures on mining, tunnel construction and processing technology.
One highlight in the many discussions and lectures will be the country specials which are being organised in cooperation with Germany´s engineering federation (Verband deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau – VDMA) on the markets of Asia, America, CIS/Russia and India. The Indian Union Cabinet Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Kamal Nath, will be opening a symposium on the first day of the fair on the construction industry and infrastructure in India.
Also, on Saturday, 24 April 2010, when visitor attendance is particularly high, there will be a panel discussion in the Forum in which representatives from higher education and research will be reporting on the latest trends, innovations and technologies in the area of mining.
The full programme of events in the bauma Forum at bauma 2010 is published on the fair´s website at: http://www.bauma.de/en/Forum.
The bauma Forum is once more positioned right in the heart of the fair, in Hall C2. Events will be held there on all six days of the fair, from 19 to 25 April. All visitors to bauma can attend the events and lectures here free of charge.
