wedge
Home | Back | Posted on by admin

This latest BICES 2011 equipment exhibition will attract unprecedented levels of visitors according to the organizers. With China’s construction market booming and the world’s largest infrastructure investment programmes in full swing, the country is seeing a huge growth in demand for new machines. Manufacturers from inside the country as well as international firms are keen to boost sales in the country and develop market shares.

As a result, promotion is a key issue and all manufacturers, Chinese and international, are focusing on major events such as the BICES 2011 exhibition being held in Chinese capital Beijing. This is the 11th Beijing International Construction Machinery Exhibition & Seminar (BICES 2011) and it will be held in the Beijing Jiuhua International Exhibition Centre. With China’s construction market in such a strong position, the 2011 show is seeing a 25% growth from the previous event. This is in terms of the number of the exhibitors, now in excess of 1,200, as well as the floor space for the exhibition. Equipment manufacturers at the show include Caterpillar, Doosan, FAYA, Hitachi Kobelco, Komatsu, LiuGong, SANY, Shantui, SHANZHOUNG, XIAGONG, XCMG and Zoomlion. Engine firms are also well represented with Deutz, Fiat Powertrain, Isuzu and Kubota as are key parts suppliers including Sauer-Danfoss, HAWE and NABTESCO. The covered area of the show will be around 70,000m2 in three indoor halls while the total show area will extend close to 200,000m2 including the outdoor exhibits. With its increased, BICES 2011 is breaking records in terms of the scope of the exhibits and the scale. According to the organisers, this will make the BICES event the largest exhibition of this type in the Asia-Pacific region during 2011.

A huge growth in the number of international exhibitors has resulted in the setting up of an independent international pavilion by the organizers. Meanwhile China’s larger domestic companies will exhibit as group enterprises and with larger show areas than at the previous event. Both domestic and international exhibitors intend to unveil their latest technologies. A key theme of the event will be on sustainable technologies in China, with the country becoming increasingly aware of the need to reduce engine emissions and carbon footprints. Advanced diesel technologies from firms such as Cummins, Deutz, Fiat, ISUZU, Perkins and Toyota, as well as Shangchai and Weichai will be unveiled. The organisers have also taken care to develop the event and BICES 2011 will see an expanded scope of exhibits. In addition to the earth-moving machinery, the event will exhibit crushing and screening machinery and equipment. Some of these machines come from international manufacturers while the country has a growing array of indigenous companies that are keen to boost sales and market presence.

USETEC 2012 presents tools and spare parts as separate product categories – Strong demand for exhibition space

wedge
Home | Back | Posted on by Chris

After the successful premiere of USETEC, World Trade Fair for Used Technology, in April 2011, the concept of the event is being refined and improved still further. Two new product categories will be presented at USETEC 2012: in the category “Tools and moulds” exhibitors will present tools to complement used machinery and equipment. The focus will be on precision tools for metalworking processes but – true to the tradition of variety at USETEC – visitors will find tools and moulds for every area on display from woodworking to plastics and rubber processing or the food processing and packaging industries. The “Spare parts and accessories” category will feature new accessories for every sector of used machinery exhibited at USETEC. Spare parts and accessories for conveyors and construction machinery will be an important category at USETEC 2012. “Just like the area of services, the categories of tools and spare parts supplement the existing range of products for the used technology sector,” explains Florian Hess, Managing Director of Hess GmbH, Weingarten/Baden, and organiser of USETEC.

USETEC’s technical sponsor, the Trade Association for Machine Tools + Tooling (FDM), has made a key contribution to establishing the new product categories. “The many machinery presentations provided by members of our used machinery group help to set the tone at USETEC,” notes Kurt Radermacher, Managing Director of the FDM with not a little pride. “Tool specialists are another important sector organised within our association. These two areas complement each other very well and can naturally be presented together to an interested trade fair audience.” Two prominent suppliers are already in the starting blocks at the heart of the “FDM area” at USETEC 2012 – IBT Ingenieurbüro Thiermann from Wiesbaden and Georg Noll Werkzeugmaschinen from Neuß. Prinoth – Snow grooming specialist targets construction‎

wedge

Italian manufacturer Prinoth, best known for its snow groomers, is expanding its range of utility and construction equipment.

Among its new machines is the Go-Tract 3000, a crawler-mounted tool carrier that can be used for digger derricks, aerial devices, cranes or drills. Designed with ultra-low ground bearing pressure, high traction and a low centre of gravity, it is aimed at any application where ground conditions – whether boggy or steep – prohibit the use of a wheeled vehicle.

It has been proven in tests in oil drilling applications in Siberia, coping with muddy terrain even with an 8t excavator on its back. As raw oil oozes out of the drilling hole, the backhoe removes the polluted material.

Payload capacity is 15,195kg. It is powered by a 205kW (275 hp) EPA Tier 3 Caterpillar engine. Vehicle length is 6.5m.

Prinoth took over Bombardier’s tracked utility vehicles unit in 2009, adding tracked utility vehilces to its snow groomers.

The Go-Tract series also includes a larger Go-Tract 4500 model, which can carry a 40t crane, and three smaller models.
